Job Description
Provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, maintaining a safe, clean, inclusive environment, and providing the right products and services at the right time with accurate pricing. Deliver direct patient intervention and relevant health and wellness services in accordance with state and federal laws while demonstrating our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity.
- Enforce food safety, sanitation and health code regulations; flag unsafe conditions to management.
- Handle ordering functions for primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Control inventory, medications, devices, supplements and supplies via computerized system.
- Maintain departmental cleanliness and customer areas.
- Count, measure and prepare products following best practices.
- Complete billing processes to ensure value for customers and company.
- Answer phone calls, triage inquiries.
- Adhere to vendor coupon, cash shortage and shrink guidelines.
- Operate cash register and handle electronic transactions (credit/debit, EBT, gift cards) and cash/check.
- Provide stellar customer experience while handling reception, data entry, adjudication, dispensing.
- Assist pharmacist except where professional judgement is required.
- Follow HIPAA and company privacy policies.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Put away legend orders including Central Fill deliveries.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a non-confrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
- Assist minors, individuals with special needs, or older adults.
- Perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Age 18 or older.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Meet state requirements for the position.
Desired
- Previous comparable experience.
- Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
- Familiarity with EPRN.
- A wide range of healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, vision and prescription.
