Purpose:
To support the sales efforts of the Company by serving as the sales leader, coordinator and direct contact between assigned business channels, sales representatives, management, customer service, and other departments of the Company.
Essential Duties:Sales Channels and Customer Service
Coordinate, manage, maintain and grow relationships with, but not limited to the following:
- Direct Dealers including NBS, World Wide, Sports Inc., Mid States and all other domestic dealer accounts - Serve as a key contact between the buying groups/dealer, the factory, and our sales force.
- In-direct Dealers (those that purchase through our Wholesalers) - Support these dealers by working distributor shows as needed as well as providing year-round factory support when wholesaler is unable or unwilling to do so.
- Premium and Incentive Channel (programs, product listings, and contracts)
- Responsible for the implementation of new account setups, product, and pricing sheets.
- Manage customer complaints and elevated problems to achieve satisfactory outcome for the company and the customers.
- Responsible for settling disputes with customers in a persuasive, tactful manner.
- Handle standard Field Representative requests.
- Be the responsible business contact for assigned customers.
- Contact outside vendors when necessary.
- Suggests substitutions for out-of-stock items. Issues credits and debits.
- Review/set guidelines for programs, promotions, rebates, special orders, and salesmen spiffs as they relate to regional distributors & dealers.
- Work with each of the company's representatives to grow respected sales channels within their territory for all brands of our products.
- Responsible for the on-hand quantities, shipments, and contents of Dealer/Distributor promotional materials.
- Responsible for Closeouts/Overstock Sales
- Set up and participate in distributor shows and other trade shows in various parts of North America.
- Assists with management of other accounts when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires a college degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong presentation skills.
- Must be a self-starter, motivated, and have good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of outdoor goods, sales, and familiarity with various aspects of fishing preferred.
- Able to multitask, possess good organizational skills and detail oriented necessary.
- Able to prioritize and assign duties.
- Advanced computer experience and computer aptitude preferred Oracle, Excel and Word.
- Must have advanced analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Must be able to work and remain focused on detail in an office environment where other department phone calls and conversations are part of the work area.
- Must be able to work at a computer and perform computer functions regularly.
- Must be able to sit, stand and move about in all areas of the company and when traveling to and working at trade shows, sales events, and customer sales calls.
- Must have good visual acuity and manual dexterity for using computer and keyboards, and for handling small items and product.
- Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and in meetings.
- Domestic travel is required for trade shows and other sales events; position will travel 20% of work time.
- Trade show participation entails long hours of being on your feet; assisting in merchandising products, which includes bending, twisting, stooping, lifting and reaching out and above head.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. during work in the factory and at trade shows.
- Occasionally required to go to the production area where there is machinery, dust, grease and noise.
