Position: Inside Sales Representative - Denver, CO

Company Overview

Denver Industrial Pumps, a Sun Source company, is a full‑service distributor of pumps and related equipment. Our central location is headquartered in Golden, Colorado and our Pump and Process Solutions division is located in Casper, Wyoming. We carry an average inventory of 300+ pumps that include centrifugal, drum, submersible, air‑diaphragm, rotary vane and magnetic drive types. We also offer full‑service repair for pump assemblies, base mounting, alignment, impeller trims and balancing, performance and hydrostatic testing.

The primary markets we serve are oil field/refining, industrial, municipal, pharmaceutical, mining, power generation, commercial, food & beverage, OEM and government.

Inside Sales Representative

In this position, you will:

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering incoming calls, solving problems, entering orders and completing follow‑up procedures.
  • Maximize customer contact on the phone by turning product inquiries into orders and suggesting accessories or replacement items.
  • Write bids and quotations when appropriate and perform follow‑up procedures.
  • Document all customer contact and sales activities in the ACS system.
  • Communicate with Outside Sales to ensure excellent account management and customer service for new and existing customers.
  • Support Outside Sales in implementing sales and marketing plan.
  • Keep current on relevant products.
  • Attend product and sales training meetings as required.
  • Update and maintain database.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of proven sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Ability to address customer concerns, demonstrate empathy, and consistently move the customer toward commitment.
  • Excellent people skills; interacts effectively and works productively with a wide range of people.
  • Organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Fast learner with the ability to grasp new concepts.
  • Persuasive, amiable, self‑motivated and goal oriented.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) savvy.
  • Must be able to type 40 WPM.
