Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, expanding sales volume and profit within assigned territory.
- Plan and execute effective pre‑call strategies, market research, and scheduling to maximize sales opportunities.
- Develop strategic sales plans and forecasts for the territory.
- Pursue additional sales opportunities in existing and new product lines.
- Communicate order details to Customer Service Representatives and prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations to customers at all levels.
- Report weekly on sales activities, operations and forecasting information and ensure timely submission of expense reports.
- Maintain and update the company CRM with contact information, activities and results.
- Participate in company improvement programs and network in industry associations, training and trade shows as required.
- Plan sales activities and travel to maximize coverage while keeping expenses within budget.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
- Minimum age 18 years; valid driver’s license required for company vehicle use.
- Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred.
- 3‑5 years of successful B2B outside sales experience.
- Knowledge of industrial insulation or the oil and gas industry (plants, refineries, production facilities) is ideal.
- CRM experience preferred.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Overnight travel required; must reside within a 250‑mile radius of Fort Collins, CO (north of Denver and north of I‑70).
- 46% of the work is field based; 90% of the time spent out in the field calling on new and existing customers.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the territory.
- Cover a territory with a 250‑mile radius, including overnight trips (up to 75% of the time).
- Prolonged standing and repetitive motions (bending, stooping, pushing, pulling).
- Good hand‑eye coordination, dexterity, and physical strength.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
