Position: Divisional Retirement Plan Counselor - New England

As one of our Divisional Retirement Plan Counselors, you will work closely with the Retirement Plan Counselor to drive sales initiatives in the Retirement Plan Sales market, identifying firm and firm representatives' needs and coordinating efforts to serve those needs.

You will be responsible for educating, training, and motivating financial advisers and other financial intermediaries within a sales division to raise and retain assets for Capital Group. You will work directly with financial advisors in building retirement plan sales momentum.

Key responsibilities include delivering motivational and informative presentations, setting goals, measuring performance, applying consultative skills to sell through financial intermediaries, and collaborating with senior sales force members to identify opportunities for better Plan Sponsor and investor outcomes. Approximately 60% of your time will be spent engaging your Financial Advisors, Consultants, Third‑Party Administrators, and Plan Sponsors in person, and 40% virtually.

Territory: New England

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of financial services sales experience
  • Proven experience in third‑party distribution, broad knowledge of the mutual fund business and retirement plan sales, and demonstrated ability to build long‑term relationships
  • Track record of sales success in Retirement Plan Sales
  • Ability to leverage technological resources to create custom analysis
  • Skilled communicator with sales experience in the registered investment advisor space
  • Well‑versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner
  • Series 6 or 7 (or willingness to obtain Series
    7) and Series 63/65 or 66 as well as one or more of the following designations: AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, and CFA

Compensation

Capital Group is required by state specific laws to include the salary for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary for this role is $121,000 – $152,000, plus applicable bonuses. Additional benefits include a standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement. Eligible employees may also participate in a discretionary annual incentive program and receive Capital’s annual profitability bonus and a retirement plan with 15% company contribution.
