Join a team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing, and training. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Sales / Territory Account Manager. Target key industries and sell a full line of electrical testing, maintenance, repair, and engineering services to industrial facilities, data centers, hospitals, and electrical contractors.
Responsibilities- Drive business growth by performing direct sales and business development activities to meet or exceed multi‑million‑dollar annual sales budgets.
- Qualify sales opportunities and evaluate prospective leads to identify high‑value opportunities.
- Develop sales strategies, create and implement strategic plans to win new accounts and retain existing ones.
- Prepare technical estimates, commercial sales proposals, and presentations.
- Maintain and deepen strategic relationships by visiting assigned accounts regularly and identifying new opportunities.
- Keep technical knowledge current by staying informed of industry trends and technical advancements.
- Support marketing initiatives: participate in roadshows, national conferences, trade shows, and industry organizations.
- Manage commercial terms: handle pricing issues, competitive quotes, cross‑selling conflicts, purchase orders, and terms and conditions.
- Bridge sales and production: conduct job walks and act as frontline focal point for qualifying technical opportunities.
- Lead customer education through lunch‑and‑learn sessions and technical discussions.
- Enhance customer experience by partnering with the customer service team to improve the buying journey.
- Accurately log and track all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience, preferably in engineering, industrial, or heavy commercial sectors.
- Strong preference for a proven track record in power‑related fields, especially high‑voltage (480 VAC to 345 kV) electrical equipment testing and maintenance.
- Technical familiarity with electrical field services, commissioning, acceptance testing, power engineering (Arc Flash, coordination studies, transient studies, load flow analysis), or substation construction.
- Highly motivated, capable of working independently.
- Strong interpersonal, written, oral presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Clear understanding of profitability, financial metrics, forecasting, and navigating key decision‑makers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel overnight approximately 5% to 20% of the time.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
