Overview

AWS Aerospace and Satellite team seeks an experienced Account Manager who consistently overachieves quota while focusing on the customer. The role requires a self‑starter who develops and executes a territory coverage plan and consistently delivers on revenue targets. Ideal candidates possess a sales and technical background, enabling engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry to closure.
  • Increase awareness and adoption of AWS among space and satellite customers.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account and territory plans.
  • Coordinate activities of the extended team to support account/territory plans.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
  • Accelerate customer adoption.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and execute operational aspects of account management.
  • Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
  • Manage contract negotiations.
  • Develop long‑term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing detailed go-to-market plans.
  • Experience with government procurement and contracting process.
  • Space industry knowledge or experience (preferred but not required).
