Specialty Account Manager

Job Description

The Specialty Account Manager is responsible for selling and promoting specialty pharmacy services to physicians, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers; establishing a strong network between Axium Healthcare Pharmacy and various pharmaceutical manufacturer representatives. The role entails marketing and selling specialty pharmacy services based on the needs of prospective clients. This position requires 100% outside sales calls and covers the State of Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana markets.

The ideal candidate will have several years calling on HCV/RA Derm accounts in these markets with extensive relationships within these practices.

• Calling on medical offices, hospitals, clinics, and referral sources to secure specialty pharmacy prescriptions and contracts.
• Managing a designated territory and workflow to accomplish daily/weekly/monthly objectives.
• Consistently making 40 outside sales calls weekly and documenting activity in CRM; may require overnight travel.
• Completing at least 2 weekly sales calls with core therapy manufacturer representatives and documenting in CRM.
• Identifying target physicians and decision‑makers in specialty markets and promoting strong relationships.
• Achieving monthly revenue and referral goals and submitting required reports to management promptly.
• Submitting field expenses bi‑monthly into Nexonia.
• Representing Axium Healthcare professionally at all times.
• Utilizing proprietary software.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• BA or BS preferred.
• At least 2 years of sales experience; medical background and college degree preferred. Proficient computer literacy required.
