Job Summary
We are looking for driven, locally‑networked Business Development Representatives to plant Treeline's flag in key markets across the U.S. In this role, you will own top-of-funnel pipeline generation in your market — building relationships, sourcing qualified opportunities, and handing off well-developed deals to our Account Executive team to close. This is a field role built for someone who thrives outside the office: at industry events, in prospect lobbies, and in the community networks where SMB and mid‑market IT decisions get made.
You will be Treeline's face in your market before we have an AE there, and the pipeline you build will directly determine when and how we expand our closing capacity in your city. Success here is measured by qualified meetings booked, pipeline generated, and deals advanced to Demo stage or beyond. You are not expected to close — you are expected to build the pipeline that makes closing possible.
- Market Development: Build Treeline's presence in your assigned market from the ground up. Develop a target account list, map local centers of influence, and establish Treeline as a known name in the SMB/mid‑market IT community.
- Outbound Prospecting: Self‑source pipeline through cold outreach, Linked In, weekly canvassing, networking events, industry associations, and referral relationships. You own your own top‑of‑funnel and will set 3‑5 qualified meetings per week.

Qualification:
Conduct initial discovery calls to assess fit, pain, and readiness. Qualify deals against Treeline's ICP before handing off to the AE team. - Deal Handoff: Facilitate warm, well‑documented handoffs to Account Executives. Provide full context on the account, decision‑maker, pain points, and timeline so the AE can run an effective demo from day one.
- Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain accurate deal records in Hub Spot. Log all activity, update stages, and ensure every deal in your pipeline has a contact, a close date, and a next step.
- Market Intelligence: Serve as the eyes and ears of Treeline in your market. Report on competitive dynamics, common objections, and buyer trends to help refine our ICP and messaging.
- Referral Network: Build and nurture a referral network and other centers of influence who serve the same SMB/mid‑market buyers we target.
- Events & Community: Represent Treeline at local industry events, chamber meetings, and technology associations.
- Experience: 2+ years in B2B field sales, business development, or a market‑facing role. MSP, IT services, or technology sales experience strongly preferred. We will consider candidates with strong local networks and relevant relationship‑building experience even if the title doesn't match exactly.
