Job Summary
We are experts in the beer, wine and spirits industry looking for individuals who share our passion for customer service and thrive in a fast‑paced selling environment. As a Sales Representative you will cultivate and grow on‑premise account relationships to maximize the sales of supplier brands through effective planning, selling execution and communication, achieving company and supplier objectives. This role will be assigned accounts in Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock and Parker, and candidates with previous distribution or hospitality management experience (F &
B) are encouraged to apply.
- Calls on accounts and covers daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing pattern.
- Analyzes the entire account base by visiting each account and identifying opportunities, completing necessary surveys, and ensuring national account compliance.
- Prepares and delivers professional sales presentations balancing company priorities and customer needs, including new product launches, well‑and‑back bar placements, resets, drink and wine lists, and promotions.
- Maintains product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permissible.
- Educates account staff on priority brands through educational staff training seminars.
- Manages customer account receivables by timely processing of credits and returns and communicating with accounts on aged receivables.
- Serves accounts by delivering products and handling customer issues and complaints, referring these issues to management as appropriate.
- Achieves sales and merchandising objectives through strategic planning and understanding company pricing and product programming information.
- Maintains accurate historical account purchase information and works with management on inventory levels, alerting to fluctuations in demand.
- Ensures maximum brand visibility by maintaining account standards and using effective point‑of‑sale materials.
- Obtains payments for the company by collecting and delivering checks or other remittances where legally permissible.
- Supports account openings by developing opening orders for new accounts in collaboration with the Field Sales Manager.
- Participates in effective supplier work with sales calls and sales blitzes.
- Conducts safe and responsible interactions with the public while handling beverage alcohol products responsibly.
- Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in sales.
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and presentation software.
- Results‑oriented professional with verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, discretion, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, work independently or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Analytic and reporting skills with sound judgement and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, team environment.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone.
- Regularly reach overhead, squat, and bend.
- Carry and lift 45–65 pounds.
- Accountable for results impacting the department.
- Selects the best option from defined procedures using common sense and experience.
Range: $40,000–$70,000+. Extra compensation includes a $2,400 car allowance, yearly bonus eligibility, and incentive programs. The position is eligible for health‑care benefits, life insurance, time‑off benefits, and participation in the company’s 401(k) plan.
