Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our team in Denver, CO.

As a Business Development Executive, you will:

Develop revenue and increase market share through identifying and securing sales from competitively held target accounts, new opportunities, and existing assigned account new business. Develop effective strategies for managing and growing revenue and executing the business plan to fill the funnel for meeting quota and product mix goals. Be responsible for meeting financial sales targets.

Essential Functions
  • Creates and executes a business plan by conducting regular and balanced activities with assigned new, target, and existing accounts, leading to sales development for meeting quota and product mix goals.
  • Proactively develops client relationships, fosters trust, and creates meaningful engagements to win Haworth business.
  • Stays current with economic, financial, social, and cultural news that impacts the industry and customers; networks in the assigned market and attends events, interacting with business leaders and influencers to identify prospective business.
  • Cultivates strong dealer relationships to influence Haworth share of wallet; educates dealer(s) on campaigns, products, and incentives to increase dealer revenue; partners with dealer(s) on leading with Haworth solutions; leads negotiations to reach profitable long‑term agreements for Haworth and its dealers.
  • Manages the business plan and keeps CRM information current on sales activities, ongoing strategy for sales development, and results for all assigned target and existing accounts, and new business opportunities; manages expense budget and timely expense reporting in accordance with established travel and entertainment guidelines.
  • May travel up to 80% to meet clients, influencers, and dealers face‑to‑face.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth’s office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Business, Communications, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Marketing, Sales, or equivalent.
  • Education equivalency:
    • Associate’s degree plus 2 years related experience.
    • High school diploma plus 4 years related experience.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years experience in a consultative B2B, solution‑based sales role with a demonstrated track record of generating revenue and meeting sales targets.

Additionally:

  • Ability to work in Denver, CO; relocation assistance provided.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Contract office furniture or commercial interiors experience preferred.
  • Interior design background preferred.
  • Experience working with a CRM platform.
  • Experience in commercial real estate, project management, or architecture & design.
Compensation and Benefits

Haworth offers a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package designed to support members’ health, financial well‑being, and professional growth. The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually, determined in good faith based on role, scope, experience, education, and skill set. In addition to base pay, the position may be eligible for sales incentive bonuses or other variable compensation based on individual performance and contributions, where applicable.
