Senior Solution Consultant - Financial Services

What You’ll Do

• Execute pre‑sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via virtual and onsite meetings, drive discovery, lead product demonstrations, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs.
• Demonstrate expertise across Workiva’s Financial Reporting solutions, developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact.
• Translate the specific needs of the Financial Services industry into Workiva solutions.
• Assist sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives.
• Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, build and present partner‑specific business cases.
• Ensure customer success by working with implementation partners and the Workiva Client Services team for smooth onboarding and long‑term success.
• Assist in developing new use‑cases or by using existing templates to provide proof of our solution’s impact and value proposition.
• May begin to deliver cross‑domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers.
• Work with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals.

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or 2 years and a PhD.
• Financial Services industry knowledge is valuable and essential to success.
• Either existing expertise in banking, insurance, or asset management, or a strong aptitude and commitment to rapidly developing deep domain expertise in financial services workflows, regulations, and use cases.

• Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives.
• Actuarial reporting experience at an insurance company.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement.
• Experience building processes from the ground up, including design, proposal, and cross‑functional alignment.
• Demonstrate proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements, may require guidance as needed.
• Ability to solve problems and articulate solutions to business problems with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Hands‑on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures.
• Experience with high‑level technical aspects of connectivity and integration (API).
• Capability to gather business needs and present a value‑based, compelling software demonstration.

• Up to 40% travel.
• Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.

• On Target Earnings (OTE) range in the US: $156,000 – $253,000 USD annually.
• Eligible for commission based on sales performance.
• Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire.
