Territory Manager - Dual
Mohawk is looking for a Territory Manager to serve as a selling agent within the Houston area or surrounding cities.
Responsibilities- Perform sales calls and travel to customers and potential customers’ facilities to share information and support;
- Make sales presentations to prospective and current clients, calculate and quote prices, take orders and close transactions;
- Provide customer service to ensure resolution of issues within marketing policies;
- Communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments;
- Monitor territory performance against established objectives and guidelines, taking strategic action to improve performance;
- Provide product‑specific customer feedback to product line managers, management or customer service personnel as appropriate;
- Assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory with the District Manager and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and practices;
- Provide timely reporting of activities in the field and special reporting for business and product planning;
- Assist in developing a territory coverage plan (type of support and frequency of customer contact);
- Perform analysis on regional opportunities and develop sales forecast by customer and product and other statistical reports as required.
- High school diploma required; college degree a plus;
- 1–3 years of progressively responsible work‑related experience (or a combination of education and training) that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the essential functions of the job;
- Ability to learn and maintain in‑depth knowledge of the company’s diverse business and product lines;
- Knowledge of terms, concepts and practices of marketing and sales environment, including basic accounting, product development, manufacturing procedures, distribution, customer service, etc.;
- Proficient using a PC, e‑mail and other in‑house database systems.
- Presenting and communicating (oral, written, interpersonal) to effectively interact and negotiate with internal and external customers and business contacts;
- Reduce tension or conflict in antagonistic situations while maintaining professionalism;
- Ability to persuade, market and sell new ideas;
- Gather, assemble, correlate and analyze statistical and financial data to develop solutions.
75 %– 100 % domestic travel by land and/or air.
May be required to lift and move up to 100 lbs without lifting aids. Vision requirements are comparable to those required to maintain a valid driver’s license. 100 % body movement is required to successfully perform the job.
CompensationExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $55,000 and $65,000 per year at commencement of employment. Compensation and range may vary by location.
Base pay is one component of the total compensation package and may also include incentive compensation, commissions (if applicable), discretionary bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and company‑sponsored benefits.
