Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Specialty Nutrition Systems, NICU Specialist is responsible for the positioning and selling of Avanos Medical Digestive Health-Neo Med-related products and solutions within Acute Care and Alternate Care accounts/facilities/departments. Responsibilities include all technical and conceptual sales aspects of the Avanos Medical DH-Neo Med product portfolio, including validation of product cost/value proposition to achieve sales goals.

Digestive Health-Neo Med Products:
Neonatal and Pediatric enteral feeding system, enteral feeding tubes and accessories, enteral feeding syringes, syringe pumps;
Oral/Enteral Pharmacy syringe solution and accessories;
Oral Care, Colostrum, Transfer Lids, Catheterization Trays, Urinary Kits.

Target Market:
Hospitals – NICU, PICU, Pharmacy, Infection Control, Quality/Safety, Value Analysis, Purchasing, Supply Chain.

The NICU Specialist will demonstrate sales expertise including product presentations, pricing, territory management, communication, and accurate forecasting to grow net sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position, analyze, and implement AVANOS DH-Neo Med product categories to meet sales plans.
  • Develop and implement business‑value selling skills and overall sales acumen.
  • Maintain expertise across the entire range of DH-Neo Med products and services.
  • Establish high‑gain relationships with decision makers (NICU Managers, Nurse Educators, Neonatologists, Pharmacy staff, Supply Chain, Value Analysis, Materials Management).
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure committed business at optimal margins.
  • Collaborate with sales management, internal partners, Standard of Care Specialists, and customers.
  • Utilize AVANOS DH-Neo Med sales and marketing resources.
  • Manage territory budget and support resources per compliance policy.
  • Participate with Region Manager in strategic and tactical planning.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • ≥3 years of B2B or Healthcare sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Continuous personal and professional development.
  • Proficiency with PC applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Assertive and comfortable in hospital settings.
  • Must be able to travel by car and lift 35 lbs.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of medical device sales, experience in Digestive Health products, Capital Experience, top 10% hospital sales performance,  proficiency.

The anticipated average base pay range for this position is $70,000.00 – $, with incentive compensation and benefits. Salary may vary by location.
