Account Executive Overview
Rentokil is a global leader in pest control and related services. The Account Executive sells industry‑leading pest management solutions to new and existing commercial customers, while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business.
Responsibilities- Create new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, leads, referrals, and cross‑selling.
- Visually inspect buildings for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and related issues.
- Based on assessment findings, sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for commercial customers.
- Develop territory strategies to exceed sales targets.
- Maintain complete knowledge of Rentokil’s programs, protocols, pricing policies, and service offerings.
- Build partnerships and collaborate with internal departments to maximize growth opportunities and ensure delivery of outstanding service solutions.
- Complete daily sales activities and performance reporting using the company CRM.
- Move up to 10 lbs regularly and 11–20 lbs frequently.
- Regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
- Operate a motor vehicle and keep equipment clean.
- Work in confined spaces and narrow aisles; use PPE such as OSHA‑compliant respirators.
- Inspect small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license from your state of residence.
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills.
- Preferred:
Two years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated prospecting skills (cold calling, lead generation, networking). - Self‑motivated hunter’s mentality and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to obtain any required industry licenses, which the company will provide and pay for.
- Travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory(s).
Base pay range: $55,000–$65,000 per year. Total earnings may be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment.
