Account Representative — Carbon & Steel Raw Materials Hybrid (min. 2 days/week on site)
· Denver · $81,000–$98,000, plus 10% bonus
A well-established global trading and investment organization is seeking an Account Representative to join its Carbon & Steel Raw Materials team. This is a relationship-driven, customer- and supplier-facing role for someone who excels at managing both sides of a business relationship and wants to grow within a stable, global company.
You’ll manage and expand established trading relationships, serving as the connection point between customers and suppliers across North America — with full training and support to develop deep expertise in these markets over time.
What you’ll do- Manage and grow existing trading relationships, acting as the key liaison between both customers and suppliers
- Build trust through regular communication and in-person engagement, and coordinate site visits between customer and supplier facilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations including credit applications, insurance claims, budgeting, and performance reporting
- Analyze global steel and aluminum market trends to identify new business and growth opportunities
- Support strategic planning and business development across North America
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Japanese language and/or culture experience
- The role is the middle contact between suppliers/vendors in Japan and US based customers
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer-service skills, with the relationship savvy to maintain and grow a book of business
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong internal collaboration
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort building and monitoring budgets
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with aluminum smelting or steel EAF operations, or experience in commodities, raw materials, metals, or industrial trading
- Domestic travel ~twice per month; international travel ~twice per year
