Inside Sales Representative
Your role:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing accounts in your territory with products from Core Flour, Specialty grains, and future portfolios to achieve sales goals.
- Prospect & Qualify:
Engage customer account stakeholders to identify new opportunities for growth across products and services; work with Sales Leadership to prioritize accounts. - Identify Key Decision Influencers & Define Needs:
Research prospects; build relationships with decision makers and influencers. - Design Tailored Solutions & Articulate Value Propositions:
Identify viable solutions from the Ardent Mills product portfolio; communicate benefits and differentiate from competitors. - Deliver Proposals & Reach Mutually Beneficial Agreements:
Create and deliver proposals with pricing; negotiate agreements while maintaining and growing strategic partnerships. - Set Up Contracts & Onboard Customers:
Ensure accurate setup of contracts and communication with internal teams; execute the onboarding process. - Fulfill Orders, Provide Service, & Collect Payments:
Support Customer Service; confirm orders, facilitate payment, and ensure customer satisfaction. - Reinforce Value Delivered:
Collect and document account feedback; leverage data and analytics to demonstrate value and identify improvements. - Industry & Market Knowledge:
Develop deep customer and industry expertise; use insights to differentiate Ardent Mills and share with Sales Leadership. - People, Process & Technology:
Leverage resources such as Salesforce; validate growth strategies; propose process improvements.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of sales or relevant work experience
- Strong sales process and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good listening skills
- Ability to influence and support internal teams that are not direct reports
- Track record of delivering results
- Ability to build trust with customers and influence decision making
- Outstanding conceptual skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including relationship-building and collaboration
- Analytical ability and comfort using data for decision-making
- Ability to thrive in difficult conversations
- Openness and excitement to learn, grow, and be coached about sales and industry
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good to have: BA or BS in business or relevant field (preferred)
- Good to have:
First‑hand knowledge of the flour milling industry or food manufacturing

CompensationStarting base pay: $74,600.00 – $99,000.00, with potential additional earning through bonus (15% annual target). Bonus plan determined based on role and contributions.
