This role requires associates to be in‑office 1–2 days per week to foster collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work‑life balance. As per hybrid/virtual work policy, candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location unless accommodation is granted.

The Account Advisor is responsible for partnering with sales and account associates in the growth and retention of existing accounts.

How you will make an impact
  • Builds relationships internally and externally to meet client needs and understand priorities.
  • Maintains a detailed and updated knowledge of Anthem products and services.
  • Manages proposal deadlines, coordinates deliverables with internal support partners, and maintains an overall high level of organization in support of the strategic sales executive.
  • Manages high‑profile sales and benefit issues by researching, resolving, and responding to accounts and brokers.
  • Conducts and facilitates meetings with brokers and clients to educate, promote, persuade, and drive opportunities for additional growth and product sales; communicates with internal partners to assist with new sales.
  • Responds to request proposal (“RFP”) in coordination with strategic sales executive & sales support.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Utilizes internal and external client reporting.
  • Responds directly to client and broker on behalf of strategic sales associates as needed.
  • Mentors and coaches team members while acting as subject matter expert on processes.
  • Completes projects outside the department on matters of significance with the authority to represent the department.
  • Assists with competitive situations within assigned group market, analyzes information, and develops proposals and execution plans to management.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
  • Sales license required where necessary or the ability to obtain within 60 days.

Location:

Colorado. Salary range: $73,568 to $110,352. Total rewards include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution.
