Position: Corporate Account Executive, SLED - Denver, CO + Salt Lake City, UT

Job Summary

The corporate and mid‑market landscape is being reshaped by AI adoption, cloud optimization, and the need to replace aging infrastructure. Net App offers a simplified portfolio and proven cloud credentials to help mid‑market buyers. This role places you in Net App’s Corporate SLED Segment and involves direct investment, executive visibility, and a mandate to win through a purpose‑built go‑to‑market motion.

Location

This territory covers Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. Candidates must be currently based in the greater Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, UT area.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop a deep understanding of SLED customers’ strategies, growth priorities, IT modernization goals, and transformation pressures, and connect them to Net App’s unified platform and portfolio motions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, combining business acumen, technical curiosity, and solution expertise to guide customers through data infrastructure decisions that align to their business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a strong hunting mentality by identifying whitespace opportunities in a high‑velocity territory, including VMware displacement, cloud optimization, and workload‑specific expansion across storage, cloud, and cyber.
  • Execute with rigor in a higher‑volume deal environment—maintaining disciplined pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and MEDDICC‑aligned qualification to compress deal cycles and maximize win rates.
  • Lead orchestration of an integrated pursuit team—inside sales representatives, partners, and specialists—to deliver a cohesive customer experience and drive post‑sale handoff to Customer Success with a clear value realization plan.
  • Activate and leverage the partner ecosystem to extend reach, accelerate deal velocity, and jointly pursue significant opportunities in the corporate segment.

  • You understand hybrid cloud architectures, data platforms, and consumption economics, and can link technology decisions to business impact for mid‑market buyers.
  • You are results‑driven, resilient, and energized by velocity—thriving in an SLED territory with higher deal volume, faster cycles, and the opportunity to build pipeline from scratch while inheriting momentum from a growing GTM motion.
  • You thrive in whitespace, finding VMware displacement opportunities, new workload targets, and net‑new buyers, converting customer pain into high‑value deals aligned to Net App’s four portfolio motions.
  • You are a credible, consultative seller with the ability to build and pitch value‑based proposals—tailoring discovery, storytelling, and ROI narratives for IT, Finance, Security, and business buyers, even under short budget cycles.
  • You are confident building ROI and TCO models, structuring deal economics, and guiding mid‑market executives through financial decisions with clarity and credibility—meeting buyers at their level.
  • Your communication is crisp, timely, and persona‑driven, simplifying complexity and keeping deals advancing with clear next steps.
  • You believe in orchestration and leverage—activating ISRs, partners, and specialists to cover more ground, move faster, and win more deals in a segment that rewards speed and execution.
  • You balance in‑quarter deal execution with multi‑quarter territory planning—building pipeline through proactive outreach, targeted campaigns, and partner‑led sourcing.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is 223,550‑289,300 USD. Salary will be determined by location, qualifications, experience, and education. The range reflects on‑target earnings (OTE) – the sum of base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Compensation packages include a comprehensive benefits plan covering health, life, retirement, paid time off, leave options, and, where applicable, stock plans.
