Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President of Allied Sales to lead the growth of our allied equipment portfolio within the material handling sector. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring our customers have access to a comprehensive suite of products that complement our core systems offerings. The Director of Allied Sales will serve as the primary champion for allied products, working cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and field operations to ensure successful integration and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and implement a growth strategy for allied sales aligned with company objectives.
    • Identify market opportunities, competitive trends, and emerging technologies to expand our allied product offering.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing sales team focused on allied products.
  • Set and manage sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals.
  • Drive pipeline development through prospecting, customer outreach, and strategic account management.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with allied equipment suppliers, distributors, and technology partners.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and programs to maximize competitiveness and margins.
  • Ensure supplier offerings align with our company’s quality, reliability, and service standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Systems Sales, Engineering, Operations, and other Welch sales teams to integrate allied products into turnkey solutions.
    • Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and technical solution design.
    • Partner with Marketing to develop product positioning, sales collateral, and training materials.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to customers regarding allied equipment solutions.
  • Conduct site visits, presentations, and solution workshops to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales and delivery cycle
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience required
  • 8+ years of experience in material handling, industrial equipment, or related industries with a strong track record of sales leadership
  • Understanding of allied equipment categories such as conveyors, racking, mezzanines, safety equipment, and automation components
  • Proven ability to develop sales strategies, manage teams, and achieve revenue goals
  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier management experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
