Personal Banker II

• Build customer relationships and recommend and sell banking products and services
• Identify customer needs and offer financial solutions
• Ask personalized questions to understand customers’ financial goals
• Create and manage a loan pipeline with strong closing conversions
• Prospect and cross-sell home equity loans and lines of credit, unsecured personal loans, auto loans, and mortgage referrals
• Source consumer lending opportunities through networking, customer conversations, business development, and proactive sourcing
• Perform transactions, manage a cash drawer, and complete bank documentation according to industry and legal standards
• Challenge daily key performance metrics while balancing competing priorities and delivering a strong customer experience
• Coach others as a sales mentor
• Perform other duties as assigned

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or other relevant experience
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
• Ability to obtain a NMLS registration within 90 days
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately
• Basic math skills and ability to problem solve within established risk parameters/tolerances
• Demonstrated ability to make personal connections, engage and educate customers, ask open-ended questions, and listen to establish trust and build lasting relationships
• Strong business development capabilities for growing a personal book of business
• Ability to use campaign offers, prospecting leads, service-to-sales conversations, and centers of influence for referrals
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, sales-driven team and leverage coaching and feedback
• Expert product knowledge and conversation skills
• Compelling communication and positive image
• Problem-solving ability
• Attention to detail when completing documents or explaining features and benefits
• College degree or military equivalent strongly preferred
• Bilingual skills are a bonus
