Role Overview

DU Executive Education is a fast-moving, entrepreneurial team within the Daniels College of Business that partners with organizations and working professionals to build leadership capability and business acumen through intensive, applied learning experiences.

We are seeking a Business Development & Marketing Assistant (10 hrs/week) to support enrollment growth, prospect development, marketing outreach, CRM data, and selected program and project needs throughout the academic year.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a student who wants practical experience across business development, sales, marketing, customer engagement, and business operations. The mix of responsibilities may shift based on program schedules, enrollment priorities, and emerging opportunities.

This role is especially well suited for students interested in sales, marketing, consulting, business development, customer experience, or other client-facing business careers.

What You’ll Do Business Development & Sales Support
  • Research prospective organizations, industries, and contacts that align with Executive Education programs
  • Build and maintain targeted prospect and outreach lists
  • Conduct email outreach and follow up with prospective participants, past participants, and other leads
  • Help prospective participants move from initial interest through registration by providing information and reminders
  • Identify promising leads and organizational opportunities for follow-up by senior team members
  • Prepare brief company or prospect research to support business development conversations
  • Support efforts to identify repeat participation and broader organizational engagement opportunities
  • Support email, Linked In, and other outreach campaigns for Executive Education programs
  • Assist with audience development, segmentation, and prospect list preparation
  • Conduct research related to target audiences, market trends, competitors, and marketing opportunities
  • Help develop or update basic marketing and outreach communications
  • Support testimonial, participant story, and customer feedback collection
  • Help track campaign engagement, response rates, and other basic marketing performance information
  • Maintain accurate contact, account, lead, and activity information in Salesforce
  • Help keep prospect and pipeline data organized, complete, and current
  • Track outreach activity and basic sales and marketing metrics
  • Use Excel and other tools to organize and analyze business development and program information
  • Assist with data cleanup, reporting, segmentation, and process improvement projects
Customer, Program & Project Support
  • Respond to basic questions from prospective participants and connect more complex inquiries with the appropriate team member
  • Help create a smooth experience from initial interest through registration
  • Provide occasional support for Executive Education programs, events, participant communications, registration lists, and materials
