We’re looking for an Environmental Scientist / Geologist II to support a wide range of environmental projects in a 60
-80% field-based travel role across the front range!
This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in mines, landfills, industrial sites, power facilities, and emerging contaminant work (including PFAS)—ideal for someone who enjoys fieldwork, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology, or related field
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in environmental science, geology, or hydrogeology
  • Hands-on experience with groundwater and surface water sampling
  • Familiarity with GIS, Excel, and Word
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience supporting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, or design work
  • Ability to perform physically demanding fieldwork in varying environments (remote sites, extreme weather, rugged terrain)
  • Must be based in the Denver metro area (Front Range)
  • Valid OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER + First Aid/CPR certification
  • Willingness to travel and work in the field regularly
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work independently
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Colorado or Federal environmental regulations
  • Background in environmental compliance, monitoring plans, and reporting
  • Experience with PFAS, heavy metals, or VOC sampling
  • Experience at Superfund sites, mines, or industrial facilities
  • Familiarity working with state and federal agencies
  • MSHA certification (24-hour or 40-hour)
  • Experience leading larger field crews (4+ personnel)
What You’ll Do
  • Support field investigations, studies, and data collection across geology and hydrology projects
  • Perform groundwater and surface water sampling, including coordination with labs, analysis, and reporting
  • Complete geologic logging of borings and monitoring wells
  • Lead small field teams (2–4 people) during sampling mobilizations
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic testing and analysis
  • Assist with project planning, reporting, and data interpretation
  • Troubleshoot field issues and communicate updates to internal teams
  • Support compliance sampling for municipal, industrial, and energy clients
  • Work both independently and collaboratively on projects of varying size and complexity
