As an Environmental Intern at Mortenson, you will assist with supporting Mortenson's environmental management efforts by providing review of environmental documentation and advising on environmental matters in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. You will work at our Denver, CO office and support the environmental team. Highlights of your time with this Mortenson internship will include:
- Support project management team in developing and executing site specific environmental plans and activities
- Participate in and contribute to project planning and environmental risk analysis
- Assist with implementation of policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations
- Assist with onsite best management practices for environmental management
- Document and report environnemental violations, non-compliance conditions, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

- Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in geology, natural & earth sciences, construction management, environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental science, biology, or other related degree
- Have previous related internship experience
- Are currently enrolled as an undergraduate junior
- Have a basic understanding of construction and generally accepted business practices
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills and show initiative and leadership
- Showcase a positive and professional attitude and solid customer service skills
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and can effectively handle multiple competing priorities
- Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
