Security Officer

Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time

Citadel Security is looking for a steady, dependable Unarmed Security Officer to cover an overnight post at a secured operations facility in Denver. This is a fixed site with controlled access and limited foot traffic during the night, but it still requires someone who stays alert, follows post orders exactly, and takes ownership of the assignment.

This position is not physically demanding, but it is detail-driven. Overnight coverage means fewer distractions and less supervision, so reliability and personal accountability matter more than speed or volume of activity.

• Controlling access at designated entry points during overnight hours
• Verifying credentials and access approval before allowing entry
• Monitoring camera systems, alarms, and interior activity
• Staying in communication with dispatch or supervisors if issues arise
• Noticing and reporting anything out of the ordinary, even if it seems minor
• Completing shift logs and reports accurately before end of shift
• Following site instructions and post orders as written, without shortcuts

• Denver Guard Card preferred (or ability to obtain one quickly)
• Experience with access control, monitoring, or dispatch-style work is helpful
• Comfortable working overnight hours without constant oversight
• Clear communication skills and basic computer/report writing ability
• Strong attendance record and dependable work habits

• Stable, full-time overnight assignment
• Consistent schedule with the same site and expectations
• Site-specific training so you know exactly what’s expected
• Direct support from operations and supervision
