Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking an experienced Armed Field Training Officer (FTO) to support the development, performance, and operational readiness of security personnel throughout assigned client locations in the Denver area.
This role combines field leadership, hands‑on training, quality assurance, and officer mentorship. The selected candidate will work directly with newly assigned officers, helping them understand site expectations, security procedures, emergency response protocols, and client‑specific requirements while maintaining high service standards across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate is a confident leader who enjoys coaching others, identifying opportunities for improvement, and promoting professionalism throughout security operations.

Key Responsibilities Officer Training & Development
  • Deliver practical, on‑site training for newly assigned security personnel
  • Guide officers through post orders, patrol responsibilities, emergency procedures, and daily operational expectations
  • Demonstrate proper security practices, report writing techniques, and professional conduct standards
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to support employee growth and performance
  • Evaluate officer readiness before independent site assignments
  • Reinforce company policies, client requirements, and security best practices
Quality Assurance & Site Reviews
  • Conduct field inspections to verify compliance with post instructions and operational standards
  • Observe officer performance and identify areas requiring additional coaching or follow‑up training
  • Review site conditions and operational procedures for consistency and effectiveness
  • Ensure assigned personnel are properly equipped and prepared for duty
  • Assist with maintaining service quality across multiple client locations
Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete training evaluations and officer performance assessments
  • Maintain accurate records regarding training progress and development milestones
  • Prepare reports detailing observations, recommendations, and corrective actions
  • Document site visits, compliance reviews, and coaching activities
  • Submit required administrative documentation within established deadlines
Operational Support
  • Assist supervisors and management teams with field‑related concerns
  • Support incident response activities and fact‑gathering efforts when required Leadership & Mentorship
    • Serve as a role model for professionalism, accountability, and integrity
    • Encourage teamwork, positive morale, and continuous learning
    • Support retention efforts through effective mentorship and employee engagement
    • Foster confidence and competence among officers entering new assignments
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of one (1) year of security industry experience in a supervisory, lead, training, or leadership capacity
    • Valid armed security license(s) required for jurisdictions where assigned
    • Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm while on duty in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
    • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving history
    • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing in accordance with applicable laws and company standards
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Previous Field Training Officer, Site Supervisor, Lead Officer, or Field Supervisor experience
    • Experience conducting employee coaching, mentoring, or performance evaluations
    • Familiarity with incident reporting platforms and security technology systems
    • Experience supporting multiple client locations or operational environments
    • Knowledge of patrol procedures, access control, and emergency response protocols
