As a Security Officer Transit Fare Enforcement in Denver, CO
, you will serve and safeguard clients in multiple industries, including government. You will operate as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy government transit location, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to deter security-related incidents, and support riders and staff through strong customer service and communication. The role emphasizes teamwork, agility, reliability, integrity, and daily operational support.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by executing security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document relevant details and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas; assist with directing foot traffic and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Support daily operations by providing a visible presence, answering questions, and following post orders and communication protocols while interacting professionally with the public and staff.

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Guard card or license (preferred).
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs (preferred).
• CPR and/or First Aid certification (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Criminal history considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment, where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
