Armed Security Officer Transit

Allied Universal seeks a professional Armed Security Officer to protect passengers, employees, and assets within transit systems. In this field-based role, you will provide a visible armed presence, conduct patrols of stations, platforms, and vehicles, and enforce client policies to maintain a safe environment. Responsibilities include access control, incident and emergency response, use of radios and security systems, and accurate report writing.

You will apply strong situational awareness, follow strict firearms and safety protocols, and deliver courteous customer service aligned with Allied Universal's culture of safety, vigilance, integrity, and teamwork. Responsibilities

• Provide visible armed security presence across transit facilities, stations, and vehicles
• Perform foot and vehicle patrols, monitoring for safety hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations
• Control access to restricted areas and verify identification and credentials
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following established procedures
• Complete accurate incident, daily activity, and inspection reports
• Operate radios, phones, and security systems including CCTV as assigned
• De-escalate conflicts professionally while maintaining safety and compliance
• Follow all firearms, safety, and use-of-force policies and training
• Deliver professional, customer-focused service to riders, staff, and visitors
• Collaborate with supervisors, clients, and local law enforcement when needed
