Position: Field Service Technician - Level II (Fire Alarm)

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - LEVEL II (Fire Alarm)

Because the role focuses on fire alarm and clean‑agent fire suppression systems, candidates must be able to conduct system inspections, troubleshooting, and customer training while using the company’s electronic inspection program.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Field Service Technician, you will work with some of the largest and most successful companies in the world and receive top‑notch training on industry‑leading fire alarm systems and fire suppression equipment. This remote role covers the Denver, CO area and is a home‑based reporting position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Embodies the company mission to protect people, property, and the environment.
  • Contacts customers to schedule service.
  • Performs inspections and testing on fire alarm and fire suppression systems per OPS work instructions.
  • Records results in the company’s electronic inspection program.
  • Responds to emergency service requests and takes appropriate action.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces system equipment.
  • Oversees OPS personnel in coordination of service activities.
  • Reviews inspection and test results with the.
  • Conducts customer training on system functionality.
  • Assists in installation and commissioning tasks with supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Two years of experience servicing fire alarm and special hazard fire suppression systems, required.
  • Experience reading blueprints, required.
  • Module level troubleshooting experience, required.
  • Associate degree in electronics or related field, preferred.
  • NICET (Fire Alarm / Special Hazard) certification, preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturers:
    Kidde, Fenwal, Notifier, Fike, FCI, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard internet usage.
  • Strong time‑management skills.
  • Capable of using Windows‑based software and mobile iPad applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑directed with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Remote position that requires travel to local job sites for installs, service, or repairs.
  • Company vehicle and all tools, technology, and equipment provided.
  • Occasional on‑call days and/or overtime for unscheduled service needs.
  • Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places.
  • Overnight travel required up to 50% of the time.
