Field Mechanic to add to our team to service work sites in the Denver Metro area. The successful candidate will provide service to our fleet of Caterpillar equipment. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently and as a team.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment
Order parts as needed
Prioritize repairs based on job needs
Follow supervisor directions
Travel to work sites in the greater Denver Metro area
Work independently or with fellow field mechanics
Complete DOT paperwork in a timely manner
Conduct daily Pre-trip inspection of mechanic’s truck
Perform regular upkeep of mechanic’s truck
Account for daily parts invoices
Create and complete work orders correctly and timely
Contribute knowledge and ideas to increase productivity
Continue learning and strengthening skills

Basic understanding of safe work practices
Full set of tools for large equipment repair
Familiar with OEM standards
Education and ExperienceCDL class B or higher
Current CDL medical examiner’s certificate
High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
3+ years of CAT mechanic background
Basic knowledge of Cat SIS and ET (training available)
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions• Work is performed most frequently outdoors in weather conditions that vary from freezing temperatures to heat above 90 degrees, in wet and dry conditions.
• Work may be performed in confined spaces.
• Some exposure to odors, gases, dust and dirt may occur.
• The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
• Lifting and carrying 10 up to 60 pounds frequently is required.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Reaching and lifting overhead is frequent.
• Standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and reaching a majority of the time.
• Work may include manual labor up to and including hand digging.
• Some Saturday work is required. Sundays are rarely needed.
Full-time, nonexempt
Salary$30-$45/hour; based on experience
