At Rio Grande Co., we’re looking for a skilled Fireplace Installer to join our team and ensure every fireplace is installed correctly, safely, and on schedule.

Reports To:

Fireplace Install Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, inspect, and transport fireplace materials each day before heading to job sites
  • Review daily paperwork to ensure the right products, tools, and instructions are on hand
  • Delivery, set, and install fireplace and materials using proper equipment
  • Install fireplaces according to manufacturer and Rio Grande Co. requirements and local codes
  • Verify installations with required photos and documentation before leaving the site
  • Communicate clearly with job site supervisors, Install Manager, and Project Managers regarding any issues
  • Treat customers, contractors, and coworkers with professionalism and respect
  • Complete daily paperwork and return to the warehouse with photo documentation
  • Check job sites for safety readiness before beginning installation
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety rules, and manufacturer installation instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Wear required PPE
  • All other duties assigned
Qualifications
  • Strong skills with hand tools and power tools
  • Comfortable with heights and ladders
  • Moving, loading, delivery fireplaces from 100 to over 1,000 lbs safely
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to following safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Construction experience installing or servicing gas fireplaces
  • NFI Certification (National Fireplace Institute)
  • Hearth Ed or factory training (available through the company)

Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Typical office environment with occasional travel to company locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, or reach materials as needed during inventory inspections.
