A Day in the Life of a Batting Insulation Installer

As a Batting Insulation Installer you will load equipment and travel to job sites, set up necessary tools, and prepare for installation. Safety is a top priority. You will perform air infiltration detailing and hand‑install insulation using envelope theory. Work may involve installing caulk, foam, stops, chutes, and blockers where needed. The day ends with cleaning the site and returning equipment to the truck.

Throughout the day you will communicate effectively with team members and other trades.

Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a pulmonary and respiratory physical
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English

A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of related experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge of construction and insulation blowing machines is a plus. Candidates should work well independently and as part of a team, be passionate about safety, exhibit strong problem‑solving skills, maintain a professional and respectful demeanor, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This full‑time position typically involves 40–55 hours per week.
