Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to support a long‑term battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The Apprentice Electrician will assist Journeyman Electricians with installing, assembling, and testing electrical components associated with large‑scale energy storage equipment. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands‑on experience in the rapidly growing renewable energy and storage industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with BESS electrical installation — Support wiring, terminations, and equipment installation
- DC/AC electrical work support — Help with battery racks, PCS/inverters, switch gear, and transformers
- Conduit installation — Measure, cut, and install EMT, PVC, and Rigid conduit
- Blueprint reading assistance — Learn to interpret one‑lines and electrical drawings
- Grounding and bonding tasks — Assist with NEC‑compliant grounding and labeling
- Troubleshooting support — Help identify and resolve installation issues
- Battery module handling — Assist with module installation and cable routing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all NEC, OSHA, and site safety requirements
- Participate in daily safety meetings
- Registered Apprentice Electrician (Colorado)
- 1–3 years of commercial, industrial, or construction electrical experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work under licensed Journeyman Electricians
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Experience on utility‑scale BESS or solar projects
- OSHA 10 certification
- Ability to work independently when assigned tasks
- Comfort working around high‑voltage equipment (training provided)
- Outdoor construction site
- Full‑time hours with consistent workload
- Overtime opportunities depending on project phase
- Local candidates strongly encouraged
This is a Contract position based out of Denver, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.49 - $36.49/hr.
