WMS Mechanical Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This is not a repetitive light commercial or residential role — our technicians work on sophisticated HVAC systems, controls, VFDs, chillers, heat recovery equipment, and semi-custom air handling systems across a wide variety of commercial applications.

Note: WMS does not work on VRF systems.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment
- Perform startups, inspections, warranty work, and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and controls‑related issues
- Program and configure unit controllers and VFDs
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and control sequences
- Work with BAS systems and digital controls interfaces
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Complete service documentation using email, PDFs, Teams, and other digital tools
- Maintain safe work practices at all times
- Participate in occasional overtime and travel as needed

Pay Range: $25–$40/hr DOE

Requirements Required- Commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Certification
- Strong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with complex HVAC systems
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Comfortable using computers and mobile technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 3‑phase electrical diagnostics
- Superheat and subcooling analysis
- Compressor diagnostics
- BAS / controls systems
- VFD troubleshooting
- BACnet and MSTP communication protocols
- Airflow and static pressure diagnostics
Work Environment Requirements
Candidates must be comfortable with:
- Carrying tools and materials up/down ladders
- Working on rooftops in extreme heat and weather conditions
- Occasional 10+ hour days
- Working 5+ days/week during peak workload periods
- Occasional travel or out‑of‑town work
- Lifting 50+ lbs regularly
