Are you a hands‑on problem solver who takes pride in keeping a community running smoothly? As a Maintenance Technician at our 77‑unit multi‑family affordable housing community Hilltop, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety.
ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS
- Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
- Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
- Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
- Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on‑call for emergency maintenance.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

- $24.00 - $25.00 / hourly
- Annual performance bonus
- This position is non‑exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay.
- 1+ years of experience in general maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
- Affordable housing experience is a plus.
- Must be able to participate in the emergency on‑call rotation as needed.
- Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.
- Willingness to embrace feedback and continuously improve.
- Strong belief in the value of teamwork and collaboration.
- Reliable and committed to doing the right thing at all times.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with the Company’s standards.
- Demonstrates accountability and reliability by taking full ownership of projects and outcomes, prioritizing precision and attention to detail.
- Must have valid driver’s license; position requires traveling to scattered sites.
