- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to keep projects on schedule and aligned with project goals.
- Read and interpret structural and architectural blueprints and build directly from these plans.
- Oversee commercial metal framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling installations on projects such as hospitals, schools, multifamily buildings, and ski resort properties.
- Manage and oversee projects valued at $1 million or more, ensuring quality, safety, and budget adherence.
- Supervise teams of 20 or more workers, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Serve in a client‑facing capacity, representing the company professionally and communicating progress, issues, and solutions.
- Use computers or tablets to operate project‑related software and applications, and to communicate with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with a second‑in‑command or trade expert when needed to ensure technical trade details are executed correctly.
- Ensure safe use of power tools, hand tools, and other construction equipment on site.
- Verify accurate measurements and layout using tape measures and other measuring tools.
- Monitor and enforce safety standards and jobsite cleanliness throughout the project.
- Collaborate with project management to support scheduling, resource allocation, and problem solving.
- Assist with general labor and hands‑on framing or carpentry tasks only as needed during downtime or to support critical project milestones.
- Proven experience as a lead foreman on construction jobsites.
- Ability to read and build directly from structural and architectural plans.
- 6–8 years of relevant construction experience in framing or related trades.
- Experience overseeing construction projects valued at $1 million or more.
- Experience supervising crews of 20 or more people.
- Strong experience in commercial construction, particularly metal framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings.
- Ability to work effectively on projects such as hospitals, schools, multifamily buildings, and ski resorts.
- Proficiency in using computers or tablets to operate project‑related programs and communicate with the team.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills, with the ability to direct and motivate field crews.
- Solid understanding of construction supervision and construction management practices.
- Competence in blueprint reading and applying plans to field execution.
- Hands‑on knowledge of framing, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry.
- Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Drywall installation and finishing experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with metal stud and steel framing in commercial environments.
- Experience in acoustical ceiling installation.
- Experience in industrial or commercial construction settings.
- Project management exposure or experience supporting field‑level project coordination.
- General labor and carpentry experience across rough and finish scopes.
- Comfort representing the company in a client‑facing role on active jobsites.
- Leadership potential is strongly valued; candidates with exceptional leadership abilities may be paired with a strong number two for trade‑specific support.
- Growth mindset and interest in progressing toward a Superintendent career path.
- Ability to adapt to working in a mountain environment and on a variety of commercial project types.
