Key Responsibilities
- Directly lead and work alongside a crew of cabling/telecommunication technicians.
- Plan and layout work to ensure equipment and information are on site to meet construction schedules and deadlines.
- Provide hands‑on technical and administrative direction while supervising large crews.
- Lead projects ranging from small to large, ensuring successful completion.
- Pass a drug test, MVR, and criminal history check.
Compensation: $32.00‑$45.00 per hour.
Qualifications- BICSI Certified is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the data/communications industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optics terminations.
- Knowledge of voice, data, and security installations.
- Experience leading small to large projects.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency; 6 months supervisory/managerial experience.
- Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, reports, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
- Minimum driving record standards met.
- Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and able to create and implement project process improvements.
- Promote company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
- Act as liaison for interface with customer representatives.
- Problem‑solving and critical thinking skills; effective reading, writing, and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
- Distinguish different colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
- Travel within branch or regional territory as needed.
