Basic Function

Under general direction, responsible for repairs and maintenance of the physical plant and grounds of each hotel within the region to preserve company assets in a safe and cost‑effective manner according to company programs and procedures. Manages necessary repairs and monitors preventive maintenance procedures, training property maintenance personnel to maintain property.

Job Duties
  • Interview property maintenance personnel and recommend for hire as requested.
  • Implement and monitor adherence to the Preventive Maintenance Program at each property.
  • Monitor adherence to Drury Hotels policies and procedures with regard to maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair and/or inspect repairs by property personnel to ensure quality workmanship; ensure equipment is maintained as specified by manufacturer.
  • Train property maintenance personnel in operating equipment safely and effectively; conduct basic training in electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning & ventilation, pool maintenance, etc.
  • Inspect facilities to ensure all local codes and ordinances are adhered to with regard to physical plant.
  • Qualifications
    • Education: Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equivalent.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in mechanical and/or electrical field or general building maintenance.

      Certifications:

      • EPA 608 Universal Certification for Refrigerant Recovery
      • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
    • Physical

      Skills:

      Ability to walk and stand most of the workday; lift 70–80 pounds occasionally, and 20–25 pounds intermittently.
