Job Details

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, working in the fast-paced construction industry. Your role will be critical in ensuring the safety of our structures, as you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of our fire alarm systems. This role involves working with low voltage electrical systems, including Fire Alarm, CCTV, Intrusion systems, and Access Control.

The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in challenging environments, demonstrates a high level of customer service, and has strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and codes.
  • Perform system tests and inspections to ensure operability and functionality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
  • Use test equipment such as multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fire alarm systems.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high level of fire safety knowledge and stay updated with industry advancements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire Alarm, CCTV, Intrusion systems, and Access Control.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of test equipment, including multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
  • Fire Alarm License is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and technical understanding.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
  • Proven experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • An in-depth understanding of electrical systems and fire safety knowledge.
