Sr. Mobile Diesel TechnicianResponsible for performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and advanced repairs, and diagnostics on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile field environment. Act as a consultant for customers and a lead on job sites, supporting Mobile Diesel Technicians I/II and ensuring compliance with company policies and performance metrics.
Duties- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs.
- Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment such as electrical, brake, cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment, using test instruments, handheld computers, and pressure gauges.
- Road‑test vehicles to verify proper operation and identify malfunctions.
- Identify problems and use sound judgment to evaluate alternatives.
- Manage parts inventory and reconcile company‑issued service truck equipment.
- Operate and maintain the service vehicle, performing safety checks and pre‑/post‑trip inspections.
- Listen to clients to assess needs and resolve issues.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, and lifting devices.
- Document work on Repair Orders (RO) with photos and upload to the TRAIT application.
- Accurately complete DOT and other required documentation.
- Work independently, managing one’s daily schedule.
- Maintain productivity and meet standard repair times.
- Source parts from approved vendors as needed.
- Communicate with management for approvals and discussion of RO findings.
- Comply with safety, health, environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
- Maintain the service truck, performing daily safety checks and inspections.
- High School Diploma/GED plus at least 3 years of experience in a related field (five years or a related degree may satisfy this requirement).
- At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
- Possess a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
- OEM training and certifications are preferred.
- Complete all company‑required training.
- Pass a DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screen and DOT physical, or present a valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining.
- Be 21 years or older due to interstate operating regulations.
- Hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain a Driver Qualification File.

Hourly pay range: $35.48 – $53.27. Rates may vary by location and qualifications. Additional compensation may include commission and incentives.
