Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Central Office Installer 100% Nationwide Travel NIGHT SHIFT in Denver, CO. The Central Office Installer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of networking equipment within Data Center, MTSO, Headend, and Telecom Central Office environments. This role requires 100% nationwide travel and the ability to work consistent night shifts while focusing on high-quality equipment rack-and-stack and cabling.

The ideal candidate possesses deep experience with fiber optics and specialized equipment such as Ciena 6500 and Nokia devices.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25 to $30 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, rack, and secure networking equipment including Ciena 6500 and Nokia devices in data networking environments.
  • Perform complex cabling tasks involving fiber optic, copper, and power cabling, ensuring proper routing and dressing.
  • Conduct basic power verification and cable testing to ensure all installations meet project standards.
  • Interpret and adhere to detailed job specifications and technical drawings for various telecom installations.
  • Execute secondary DC (-48V) power installations and grounding tasks as required.
  • Document installation progress and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to complete installation tasks during designated night shift hours.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace while following all site-specific safety protocols.
  • Perform equipment labeling and cable management according to client and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Prior installation experience in a Data Center, MTSO, Headend, or Telecom Central Office environment.
  • Proficiency in the installation and configuration of Ciena 6500 and Nokia networking hardware.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fiber optic cabling and termination techniques.
  • Experience with copper cabling, power verification, and basic cable testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of secondary DC (-48V) power installation practices.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% nationwide to various job sites.
  • Availability to work consistent night shifts as required by project timelines.
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong ability to read and follow technical job specifications accurately.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for the duration of a shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate specialized hand tools and manage small cabling components.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders up to 20 feet in height.
  • Visual acuity to distinguish different colors for cable coding and read small print.
  • Ability to work in confined or tight spaces common in telecom environments.
  • Ability to travel extensively via commercial airlines and motor vehicles.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
