Field Service Technician
We are seeking a Field Service Technician who will play a vital role in delivering solutions to company clients. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to travel for on-site system installations. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and controls experience, particularly with CNC machines and controls/PLC's. Additionally, this individual will contribute to technical documentation and product development efforts.
Responsibilities- Install and configure Tool Load Monitoring, Adaptive Controls, and Machine Monitoring systems on-site at customer locations.
- Perform electrical and controls integration with CNC machines and other industrial equipment.
- Ensure systems are fully operational and meet customer requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to system functionality, performance, and integration.
- Provide remote and on-site support to address technical challenges.
- Travel to customer sites across the US for installations, training, and support (travel up to 70%).
- Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical manuals, user guides, and installation instructions.
- Document installation and troubleshooting processes for internal use.
- Provide feedback from field installations to assist in refining and improving Company's products.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to test and validate new features or systems.
- Train customers on the use and maintenance of installed systems.
- Represent Company with professionalism and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Strong background in electrical and controls systems, particularly with CNC machines and industrial controls.
- Experience with system integration, PLCs, and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with machine monitoring and IoT technologies is a plus.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary travel documentation (e.g., passport, visas).
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $ per year
