This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. The candidate must reside no more than 45 minutes from the chapter. South of Denver is preferred.

Under general supervision, you will perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, and on machines and equipment. Typical work includes carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. You will conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary repairs, test, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment, and use hand and power tools. You will read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

You will provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

All duties and responsibilities will be performed in compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable federal, state and local regulations. Your work will also involve maintaining and repairing organizational facilities and properties, patching minor holes, repairing concrete floors, painting structures and equipment, installing and correcting minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems, documenting installations and repairs, operating and servicing boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment, moving and storing furniture, estimating time and material costs, requisitioning supplies, maintaining flowerbeds, pruning shrubs and trees, applying snow-melting chemicals, and driving a vehicle to other locations.

All work will adhere to established safety procedures.

The salary range for this position (CO) is $22.26/hr - $23.73/hr.

Maintain and repair organization facilities and properties. Patch minor holes and cracks. Repair or replace concrete floors, steps and sidewalks. Paint structures and equipment as needed. Install and correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry and structural problems. Document installation and repairs. Operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps, and related mechanical equipment.

Will drive vehicle to other locations.

Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Scope:
Full knowledge of job. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job. Contact within department and occasionally outside of organization.

  High School or equivalent required. May require a trade license.

  Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Related experience includes skill and knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.

• A current valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.

Skills & Abilities:
Previous truck and/or bus driving experience is desirable. Basic computer skills required. Exemplary interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on a team. May have on‑call duties. Ability to use hand and power tools and work with chemicals and solvents. May have climbing requirements. Must be flexible and an experienced handyman. Electrical experience a plus. Computer literate in Outlook.

Experience with inventory management software. Customer service experience.

Will drive vehicle to other locations.
