Building Engineer / HVAC Mechanic
The Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center is looking for an experienced Building Engineer/HVAC Mechanic to join our team. Ideally, this person would have previous experience with large building mechanical systems, including boiler operation, air handler maintenance, fan coil units, water softeners, heat exchangers, chillers, cooling towers, closed‑loop systems, mechanical diagnostics, repairs, and replacements of motors, pumps, actuators, belts, filters, fire suppression, fire alarm, smoke control, building automation, plumbing, electrical, and CMMS systems.
Responsibilities- Preventative maintenance of all mechanical systems.
- Boiler operation and parts inventory management.
- Enter occupancy schedules into and monitor equipment performance on BAS.
- Perform daily equipment rounds and maintain clean, organized mechanical room areas.
- Provide clear communication with the team.
- Assist in repairs to kitchen and laundry equipment as needed.
- Maintain high service standards and document repairs in detailed communication.
- Self‑starter with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Problem solver capable of working independently or in a team.
- Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and ability to learn other systems.
- Physically capable of maintaining a high‑rise hotel safely, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, working from scaffolding, operating lifts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and working in hot/cold conditions.
- Must work 8 hours per day, five days per week, and be available on weekends and holidays.

The budgeted range for this position is $35.00 – $45.50 per hour. Actual pay will be commensurate with ability and experience.
This is a full‑time position. The schedule may change based on business needs.
