Job Responsibilities
- Install and/or upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc. in an efficient and productive manner
- Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses as needed including presenting options and collecting for jobs completed
- Communicate with Dispatch, Supervisors, and Customers throughout projects about time frames, change orders, etc.
- Must provide a safe and clean work environment to protect property of others and fellow coworkers
- Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
- Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.
- Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times
- Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience required in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.
- Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
- Must be team oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers
- Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- A valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.
- Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule
