This is a full-time, on-site Commercial HVAC Technician role based in the Denver Metropolitan Area. The Commercial HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and related equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control issues; conducting preventive maintenance; and completing service calls in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
The role also involves reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, documenting work performed, communicating clearly with customers and team members, and coordinating with controls technicians to deliver integrated solutions. The technician will follow company and industry safety standards, maintain tools and work vehicles, and support energy-efficient and cost-effective system operation for clients.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
- Experience with plumbing related to HVAC systems, such as condensate lines, hydronic piping, and drain systems.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices for commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, cleaning, and component replacement.
- Knowledge of electricity as it applies to HVAC, including reading wiring diagrams, using meters, and working safely with high and low voltage.
- Current EPA certification for handling refrigerants and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Previous experience as a commercial HVAC technician or equivalent field service role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the Denver Metropolitan Area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school, apprenticeship, or HVAC certification is preferred.
- Commitment to safety, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
