The Saw Cutter – Asphalt and Concrete will be responsible for operating concrete and asphalt saws and performing precise cutting tasks to support various construction projects.

• Utilize concrete and asphalt saws (flat saws, wall saws, hand‑held saws) to cut roads, curbs, slabs, sidewalks, trenches, ADA ramps, driveways, aprons, valley gutters, and other structures.
• Assess cutting depth and blade performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and awareness of site hazards such as utilities, traffic, and personnel.
• Collaborate with foremen, equipment operators, and laborers to ensure cutting tasks are integrated with site operations.
• Assist with site preparation and cleanup tasks, such as removing debris and establishing barriers.
• Document time, material usage, and equipment maintenance in daily logs or job tickets, recording quantities in linear feet or square feet.
• Maintain knowledge of different types of saws, blades, and cutting techniques suitable for various materials and thicknesses.
• Understand construction safety measures and hazard awareness.
• Ensure compliance with all job‑site safety regulations and maintain a zero‑incident record.
• Demonstrate physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work under varying weather conditions.
• Work both independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced environments.
• Possess basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and maintaining cutting tools.
• Achieve precision in cuts, limiting over cutting, ensuring straight lines, and maintaining appropriate depths.
• Maintain equipment uptime and adhere to maintenance log requirements.
• Complete assigned cutting tasks promptly.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with site teams.

• Previous experience as a Saw Cutter or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating concrete and asphalt cutting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver’s license.

• This position is a safety‑sensitive role and is subject to the company’s drug and alcohol policy and all OSHA regulations.
• All employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Serve as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, enforcing safe work practices, and proactively identifying and remedying hazards.

• Operate at professional construction sites, requiring communication, reading printed materials, maintaining attention during interruptions, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, handling, or moving objects up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs or ladders, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting overhead, and navigating safety requirements.
• Work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment and other tools within safety guidelines.
• Work outside for long periods in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• May be exposed to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, viruses or other air‑borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
