Power & HVAC Mechanic

Great opportunities to build your future with United Rentals. As a Power HVAC Mechanic within the Power/HVAC division, you will perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, HVAC, and dehumidification/air purification equipment in a safe and professional manner.

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Document service work accurately.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to the position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45lbs.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive per United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Compensation Range: $22.45 – $43.85 per hour.
