Commercial glass installation projects, combining hands-on glazing work with crew leadership in both shop and field environments. Participate in the installation of storefronts, windows, peaked glass, storefront doors, and curtain wall systems across the Denver Metro area, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and adherence to project blueprints and schedules.
Overview:
- Prepare frames, anchors, and flashing for glass installation, ensuring all components are accurately positioned and secured.
- Oversee and assist with setting glass units, including hammering loads and ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Determine and coordinate the appropriate lifting and handling equipment (such as forklifts or manipulators) for each project.
- Review and interpret blueprints and project documents to plan work, layout tasks, and allocate crew resources effectively.
- Lay out work areas and assign tasks to crew members to complete installations efficiently and according to specifications.
- Perform and oversee caulking, sealing, and finishing work to ensure weather-tight and visually consistent installations.
- Monitor work quality and compliance with project requirements, making adjustments as needed to meet standards and deadlines.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in commercial glazing or closely related construction work.
- Strong experience in glazing or carpentry with demonstrated hands-on installation experience.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
