Travel Excavator Operator (Winter Park)
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will perform cut-to-fill earthwork operations according to site plans, ensuring precision and safety. You will be responsible for excavating into hillside terrain while maintaining slope and grade requirements, and operating excavators safely in confined construction environments.
Responsibilities- Perform cut-to-fill earthwork operations according to site plans.
- Excavate into hillside terrain while maintaining slope and grade requirements.
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently in confined construction environments.
- Process on-site materials and separate unsuitable material, rock, and boulders.
- Work with screening operations to produce suitable fill material.
- Fine grade building pads, access routes, and site improvements.
- Maintain grade tolerances of ±0.10 feet.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with loader operators and site management to maintain production.
- Follow all company safety policies and project requirements.
- Work independently and make sound decisions with limited supervision.
- Minimum 2080 verifiable hours in heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to consistently achieve grade within 1/10 foot.
- Knowledge of grade stakes, elevations, and site plans.
- Experience performing cut-to-fill operations.
- Experience with material processing and hillside excavation.
- Experience with fine grading and rock and boulder separation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work safely in mountain environments and changing weather conditions.
- Experience on residential or commercial site development projects.
- GPS machine control experience.
- Previous work in Colorado mountain construction environments.

Work Environment
Work in Colorado from Monday to Friday, 40–50 hours per week. The role involves active construction sites in mountain environments and changing weather conditions. Expect to work in confined construction environments.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
